The centres are all modern, bright and comfortable buildings, providing a peaceful child- centred environment. The separate class-rooms for children of different ages are equipped with excellent learning and play resources, providing areas and spaces dedicated to nurturing and respecting children's individual interests and routines.
Our centres embrace the philosophy of Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber, with a central focus on providing a peaceful child-centered environment, nurturing and respecting children’s individual interests and routines. The centres employ primary caregiving, ensuring that your child will be known and respected as an individual, and that the routines of your child are carefully monitored and that any changes are discussed with you or noted.
We welcome and encourage parent and Whanau involvement and partnerships, acknowledging that parents know what is best for their children. We are responsive to parents' wishes and to the individual needs of the children.
At our centres we provide a holistic approach that allows children the freedom to explore and learn within clear, consistent boundaries of acceptable behaviour, supporting and encouraging children to take responsibility for their own learning by making decisions, choosing their own materials and problem solving. Focussing our teaching around the children's interests, making learning fun and exciting!
Our stimulating and exciting programmes ensure positive outcomes for children by acknowledging and supporting tikanga Maori and te reo Maori. All children are genuinely listened to and given the time to have a voice, this enhances their self-worth, identity, confidence, individuality and enjoyment.
